Selecting Your Creatives

January 26th, 2009

Hey Advertisers,

For those of you that opt for CPC based campaigns, here’s a quick tip that will help you to make a more informed choice when selecting your banner sizes.

After you have created a campaign, in your Campaign Area, select Listing > My Ads.

This will prompt you to an area where you’ll be able to adjust your text banners content and also to upload your creatives.

What advertisers sometimes overlook are the tiny percentages that you might see under each banner type.  These percentages represent the total traffic percentage for CPC traffic. It’s also important to note that CPC campaigns utilize image banners and must have a file size under 30K.

In addition, when running a campaign, you can generate a Creative Report to learn which banners are receiving the most traffic, and if you have inserted pixels, you can find out which banners brought in the most conversions. Just go to Reports > Creative Report.

Happy Advertising!

Sincerely,

The Clicksor Family

Publisher earning tips – Ad Placement

January 23rd, 2009

Dear Publishers,

Where do you place the ads on your site?  The top?  Side? Perhaps the middle or the bottom? Ad placement is crucial, otherwise the viewer might not even bother to look at your ads.  It is KEY to know the layout of your site, as it will affect your earning.

Here is an interesting technology called “Eye Tracking”, which analyzes and studies which area on a site will attract more attention.  In addition, it follows the pattern of how people’s eyes move through the page.

This useful information could help you to identify what is interesting to your visitors and will offer insight as to how to design your layout. Ultimately, it will help you to relocate your ads to increase the click rate and conversion rate.

Clicksor Payment Terms

January 16th, 2009

Hi Publishers,

One of the biggest concerns for publishers is payment issues.

“When will I get my payment?”
“How much am I going to receive?”
“Why have I not received any money when I see it as paid in the report?”

All payments are issued every 15 days to our publishers.  To illustrate how this policy affects your payment, here is an example:

I started generating earnings on March 7th and earned my minimum payout of $50 on March 27th.  When will Clicksor pay me?  The answer is April 15th.  This is because the last earning was made on March 27th with a 15 net term policy. Hence, the the payment will be issued on April 11th, which is exactly 15 days after, and paid out on the upcoming payday, which is April 15th.

You can use the same method to calculate the amount that you will be receiving for your upcoming payment.  Simply add up all the payments you earned 15 days before the payday.

There are times when you will see the payment on your report but notice that you still have not received any money.  When this happens, please allow 48 hours for our system to issue payments through Paypal due to the large amount of payments that have to be paid out.  If your payment is issued by cheque, please allow 2-3 weeks for the mail to arrive depending on your geographic location.

You can always contact your account manager if you have any further questions on your payment.  We will be more than happy to follow up for you.

Sincerely,

The Clicksor Family

Advertisers: Set Your Daily Limit!

January 14th, 2009

Hey Advertisers,

Here’s a hint regarding campaign setup: SET YOUR DAILY LIMIT!!!

This may seem very trivial, but to some advertisers, this may mean the difference between a campaign that effectively spends its daily funds over several days, and a campaign that blows its budget before any useful data can be collected.

Why set a daily limit?

As you may already know, a campaign that ends too quickly will significantly affect the overall performance of a campaign, as viewers have not been exposed to the advertisement long enough to make an action. Setting a daily limit can be very useful. For starters, it will give your advertisement a chance to stay live over the course of several days. In addition, seeing stats over a longer period of time will make analysis of your reports more effective as you can start seeing trends that will help you plan your next course of action.

Remember, campaign set up quality is the first step to a successful campaign! And while we’re on the topic, how long do you spend setting up YOUR campaign?

Sincerely,
