Do You Know How Clicksor Can Help You to Keep Track of Your Campaigns?

July 21st, 2009

Dear Advertisers,

You are paying for each campaign and you want to make the best return on your investment. How is this possible? You may optimize or target your campaign by channels and keywords, but the question is “How do you know which channel and/or keyword are best for you?” You need information to help you analyze your campaign’s performance. Tracking is the key to getting your primary source of information, and Clicksor gives you the ability to track by unique URL pixel and sub ID tracking.

The most common tracking is by unique URL. With the unique URL you are able to gather information regarding converted keywords, ad formats and publisher sites. For example you may have the following tracking URL: www.abc.com/1203/tracking/Clicksor/banner01728×90/keyword=[shopping] for the keyword “shopping”. When it shows up in your conversion report you will know this conversion is from Clicksor’s 728×90 banner from the keyword shopping. You can have a unique URL on every keyword or creative you have selected. In order to do so, you have to confirm with the ad owner or tracking software how to create a unique URL for tracking. For upload details in our system please contact your Account Manager.

We also support pixel or sub ID tracking on sites or keywords. Pixel tracking allows us to collect information on sites, ad formats, geo targets and keywords. This information will then appear in the report in your account. With your parameter (Sub ID) placed in the unique URL we are able to pass back information to your tracking system on converted sites and keywords. However, sub ID tracking is not able to pass back ad format information.

By knowing the converted ad formats, publisher sites and keywords, you will be able to optimize your campaign(s) by targeting similar sites and keywords. You can also avoid any unattractive ad formats, keywords and sites to minimize your risk and cost. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

Best,

The Clicksor Family

Conclusion: We don’t hate ads!

July 20th, 2009

Dear Advertisers,

How was your weekend? We’re back to the start of the week and I’m once again bringing you some food for thought.

We hear a lot about people saying that consumers no longer react to advertisements. In a world where we are constantly exposed to ads, many of us have seemingly learned to zone out and filter unwanted ads. Contrary to the common belief that internet users hate advertisements, a recent study conducted discovered that 67% of respondents agree that ‘advertising funds low-cost and free content on the Internet’.

Low CTR? Should I stop running ads?

July 16th, 2009

Hello advertisers!

We all know one of the ways to measure the effectiveness of an ad is to look at the click-through-rate (CTR). As the internet evolves, internet users are becoming more and more indifferent to ads. They are less likely to click on advertisements, which results in low CTRs. It all boils down to this: should I continue to advertise if no one is clicking on my ads?
