A new year means a whole new cycle of up and down seasons, and unless you are one of the lucky people that have something that everybody wants in your market, it’s time to sit back and plan out what you’re going to advertise for your promotions, and which sectors you’d like to promote next.
So… have you’ve made a plan for yourself for 2013?
Here, I’ve listed a couple of simple tips that could get you ready to tackle the upcoming year head on.
Analyze Your Reports on Your Campaigns
Without data, there’s no way to tell whether what you’re doing is working or not. Check out how your campaigns are doing by going to the Reports section to check everything from keywords and channels, to reports on your geo-targeting.
Update Your Creatives and Landing
Still reusing those same banners and landing page for your promotions? Maybe it’s time to switch it up and put something new on. When people have seen your banners over and over for a long period of time, they tend to go into a state called banner blindness where no matter how colourful your banners were before, the effectiveness will decrease over time.
Don’t let your products be ignored just because YOU ignored replacing your banners.
A/B Test Your Campaigns
Don’t limit your campaign’s potential by sticking to only one set of banners and landing pages. By using multiple versions of banners and landing pages for your products, you’ll figure out which combination of content and design works the best for advertising your products.
Switch up the words in your banners and landing. Have different landings that use different interaction methods such having one with a button, and another with a sign up page. The sky’s the limit on the number of variations you can test for, just be sure to not change too many elements at once.
